The song uses the reference of Alice in Wonderland to convey this message as it is a story about a girl who falls into a fantasy world through the rabbit hole and experiences a different reality. The opening lines already establish the theme as Gaga sings "My name isn't Alice, but I'll keep looking for Wonderland"
