"Agadez" is the 8th track on The Mars Volta's fourth studio album, The Bedlam in Goliath. It is named after the largest city in Niger, as is the album artwork, designed by Jeff Jordan. Jordan stated on Facebook that the group liked the album art so much that they decided to write a song about it, being this track in particular. A demo of this track, titled "GetMadRef" was available through a limited USB stick of the album released on December 29, 2008. Henry Trejo is credited for the "Because"s on this track.
