The beauty of a lot of Norwegian disco is that it's almost impossible to point out where the climax is. Instead, tracks unfurl for nine or ten minutes with some two-minute stretch in the middle that just seems to glow a little brighter than the rest-- less a peak than a plateau. Like Lindstrøm and Todd Terje before him, Andre Bratten specializes in this stuff: long-winded but highly melodic, like a shaggy-dog story where every digression is actually entertaining.
