“Addiction” is a song that blurs the line between being addicted to a person and getting high. The song is a bit more house and disco-influenced than other songs on Hot Pink to fit those themes. Interestingly, Doja Cat has publicly spoken about being “addicted” to weed, and says that’s where her stage name came from, via Dazed.
