This song was written about Vic's girlfriend at the time who was undergoing chemotherapy. He says, "I wrote this song for my ex-girlfriend who has been fighting breast cancer. She recently finished her chemotherapy treatment and I wrote the lyrics about how proud I am of her for making it through all of the pain and the treatment all on her own.
