“1984” serves as the introductory track for Glaive’s second EP, all dogs go to heaven. The song follows Glaive’s perspective of trying to correct wrongs within a fluctuating relationship. The song was first previewed on producer Nick Mira’s Instagram story on March 30, 2021. Although “1984” leaked early on July 20, 2021, it still saw an official release on the EP.
