Born out of a shared distaste for societal conventions, unnecessary chords, and literature, Witch Coast has been seducing Washington DC’s occult underbelly with quick and dirty lo-fi pop earworms since 2014. The lean three-piece—featuring Messrs. Jon Weiss, Kevin Sottek and Jordan Sanders—has built a reputation in person and online for their no-nonsense approach to recording (“No Overdubs, No Masters”) and rowdy shows with international touring bands as diverse as Iceage, Porches, OBN IIIs, Bueno, Sitcom, and New Madrid. The Washington City Paper heralded their first EP, Witch Coast for President, as one of the best DC albums of 2014, despite sounding like it was “…possibly recorded on the auditory equivalent of a potato.” Hell yeah. Their debut LP, Burnt Out By 3PM is out now on Babe City Records, and with their debut -- Witch Coast is poised to step on everything you love, in the best way.
