What Capitalism Was music, free to stream, cheap to buy: https://what-capitalism-was.bandcamp.com/ What Capitalism Was is John Catfish's solo project. He is also in the indie-folk band Super Daughter. Released in spring 2007 was the "find it hold it LP" which is a compendium of tracks from various self-released EPs over the years. The music is low-fi folk with guitar, banjo and sometimes double vocal tracks. Released in 2008 was the album "Songs for East German Accordion" which featured "Mr. Sandman" and several klezmer-influenced songs. Released in 2009 was the album "Plays Philip Glass on Accordion" wherein WCW attempts to... play Philip Glass on Accordion (and some banjo). The album is available on the interwebs, and your favorite p2p trackers. Released in 2011 was the album "Plays Italo Calvino on Accordion" - a collection of covers and originals lauding the author. Released in 2026 (!) was the EP "A Triptych for Accordion and Theremin" Please see the Bandcamp page: https://what-capitalism-was.bandcamp.com/ User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
