Mohamed Dahir (b. July 1995), professionally known as wewantwraiths, is an up-and-coming artist from Leicester, East Midlands. His stage name (“We Want Wraiths”) alludes to the Rolls-Royce Wraith coupe. Falling under the trapwave genre, though escaping pigeonholing, he shines bright with his melodic vocals, distinct voice, and vivid lyrics depicting emotional trauma, life on the streets and trying to make it out of the hood. His introduction to the scene came in the form of debut singles “Unforgettable” and “Chanaynay” in September 2020 which both racked up to over a million views, as well as his appearance on Kenny Allstar’s Mixtape Madness series “Mad About Bars” which put him on everybody’s radar. His March 2021 single “Know You” gave him his first taste of chart success, charting at #56 on the UK Singles Charts.
