Highly cinematic, highly astral trip, Ugly Rants of Blossoming Misogyny is Michele Pollice’s solo project, formerly from the shoegaze band La Calle Mojada. Guitar driven music, instrumental, droning, radio signals, broadcasting like breadcrumbs from a remote eastern land to hear Chernobyl tales, and then even beyond, to circumnavigate the globe, till a Sweet Nowhere. Hypnotic six-string cyclic loops, multilayered, Line 6 DL4 powered, this is Music to start thinking on another level of consciousness, digressing with hyperreal polar coordinates such as Seefeel and July Skies, a perfect soundtrack for one of those explicits films by Gregg Araki. Làrissa+s/w guides us through a mysterious universe where we meet other soundnauts like Dead Texan and Stars of the Lid, although, Pollice’s dimension is more terrestrial and analog, than celestial, – it’s differently spatial, because he’s able to draw those polychromatic abstractions proper of a daydreamer. http://handwriting-records.bandcamp.com/album/ugly-rants-of-blossoming-misogyny http://www.myspace.com/frigomatic User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
