to the barricades! exists for the purpose of drawing a deep line in the sand in relation to the ongoing cultural civil war raging on all around us. We know we can't escape the suffocating and debilitating effects of the dominant culture we seek to defend ourselves from. But ttb! is an attempt, a humble fragmented attempt, to not only fight back and hold our ground, but to make love atop the battlefield. Our songs are a call to arms, a desperate plea for help, a please hold my hand I can't do this by myself any longer... if our hearts are free, the ground we are standing on is liberated territory.
