Things Falling Apart is an ensemble Bob Aspatore, Ben Aldis, Andy Herald, Tim Walker, Brandon Welch, Paul Kim, and Ryan Anthenat (roadie-extraordinaire) from DeKalb, Illinois. They compose and perform in the style of shoegaze and post-rock. The band would release six albums; "Things Falling Apart" (2002), "as above, so below" (2005), "we carry our fate in plain sight" (2005), "disintegrating!" (2007), "blind hammer, i miss you like nails" (2016), and " we can rust the world into the dust of the universe" (2023). In the summer of 2022 Brandon Welch would die due to an illness, but not before doing some recordings for "we can rust the world into the dust of the universe".
