the tracks formed in Glasgow between the singer / songwriter partnership of Billy Agnew (Lead vocals & rhythm guitar) & Mick McArthur (Lead guitar & vocals) having met at Uni. Armed with their guitars & 3 times daily rations of porridge (had to fund uni somehow) they spend many an evening touring the pubs and clubs of Glasgow with their original mix of uptempo and mellow acoustic songs. They're filled with clever & beautiful lyrics and charged emotional vocals. When a demo recording came to the attention of former Simple Minds keyboard player and engineer, Mick MacNeil, he invited Billy & Mick to record some of their new songs at his Mix Records studio. The project developed into a full album; the self funded and titled album (another reason for porridge 3 times a day) the tracks was released with a launch party at a packed Oran Mor in Glasgow's West End. It's almost impossible to keep still during the albums up tempo tracks like Tight Little Place, Tell Me Something, Roll Another Dice and Cold Outside, however; the real gems are hidden in the middle of the album, tracks like This Beautiful Life, The Crying Time, Comfort, Princess and Pendulum are beautifully written and delivered. the tracks have since earned respe
