Born on July, 22nd, 1975 in Brasilia. Living in Pernambuco since 1981 , and since 1988 in Olinda. Bachelor and student in Physics and Mathematics, researching dynamical systems (deterministic chaos and catastrophe theory) and non formal logic (metamathematics). Teacher since 1991. Record and recordings collector of since the age of 11, in 2001 began to make his own music with computers, turntables, tapes, cds and field recordings. In 2003 got a c-melody sax and started to research and play real-time composition in a free improv context, following his interest in real-time performances. Currently employing c-melody sax, trumpet, flute, no-input mixing board, prepared and non prepared acoustic and electric guitars, turntables, tapes, keyboards, violin, toys instruments and percussion as sound sources. Main focus subjects includes wind instruments extended techniques, no-input mixer manipulation and field recordings. Since 2003 plaing live in Pernambuco. December 2004 and January 2005 touring Rio de Janeiro, playing and recording with local artists. Composer of soundtrack works for videos and movies, soundscapes and soundtracks for performers, video artists and poets, live performer with a improv dance company, producer of pocket shows in Pernambuco. Coordinator and curator of an experimental music event in Rio de Janeiro, Recorded and released over 15 albums on cd-r and net labels. In June 2005 started running his own cd-r label, v(g)erme.
