The superlative degree is an active visual kei band that has been performing since 2023. The lineup consists of vocalist Akito (章人), guitarist YUJI, bassist Hiroyuki (宏之), and drummer SHINGO. Former guitarist Seiichirou (誠一朗) was also part of the group but left in June 2024. The band was formed on December 24, 2023. On June 2, 2024, they performed live at Shinjuku ReNY alongside ZIGGY and SEX MACHINEGUNS. Shortly after, on June 4, 2024, guitarist Seiichirou announced his departure from the band. The superlative degree released their debut EP, Douka, on May 21, 2024, through the label hurt chord. The EP contains four tracks.
