The Silent Film is an Alternative Folk Rock band that was started by midwest boy Jakob Lewis and Portuguese native Andre Anjos as a recording project. They met as students at Greenville College in Greenville, IL. The simple creative outlet lacked the rush of playing live and the ability to share with others in a more real way. So The Silent Film recruited a drummer (Kyle Dainsberg) and a bassist (Nick Birmingham) and started playing live in '05. The Silent Film put together The Least E.P. before going on the Emergencia Tour with Dear Future in the Summer of '06. After the Emergencia Tour Nick and Kyle left the band on good terms and The Silent Film replace them with Bass player, Nathan Bender and drummer, Jon Goldstein.
