The Selfish Gene band were founded in 1993. Five young rock n' roll enthusiasts set to conquer the Israeli and British stages and their fans hearts. The Selfish Gene offered a different approach in their unique musical style and melodies. They achieved fame in Israel and set their goals onto Britain. After a few years performing in London's famous venues, in 2000, the Selfish Gene found their end as a band and all the members went on separate paths to succeed in their individual projects. Now, after six years apart, due to high demand from their fans in Israel, The Selfish Gene reunited and released a full length album on a major label in Israel, Hed Arzi. The album features a vast collection of their previous work aside the renowned single "Daylight Savings" which was recorded specially for the occasion. The project is greatly appreciated by the fans and has received amazing press coverage in the local newspapers and radio. The band also had a couple of sold out performances and rocked the house.
