about

The Scissors are a Cambridge-based four piece psych/freakbeat/post-punk combo. 2008’s gigs included slots supporting Glasvegas, Hijak Oscar, Make Model and The Corrections; plus gigs with a number of local favourites such as CosyCosy and Delphi. 2009 saw the Scissors play with ex-Kook Max Rafferty, James McCartney (son of Sir Paul) and compete in the prestigious Grand Final of the Cambridge Band Competition 2009 at Cambridge Corn Exchange. Other highlights included well-received London gigs at The Dublin Castle and The Enterprise in Camden, and at the Hope and Anchor in Islington. 2010 has so far seen The Scissors play a prestigious support slot with The Quails, more London dates and other places further afield… User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
