Active only in 1996, The Magnetas were an American band from Omaha, Nebraska. The ensemble included Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes), Todd Fink (The Faint), and Chris Hughes (Beep Beep). During the project three recordings were made: "Anex Anex," "Science Fiction in Schools," and "Clatter." Long after the Magnetas' demise, Oberst would work with Fink again on various projects such as Fink's creation, The Faint.
