the generous are a duo consisting of vocalist "yoko" and guitarist/composer/arranger Katsumi Ohnishi. They debuted under avex with the mini-album "the generous" on October 29th, 2008. Their song "Dream Star" was used as the opening for the anime "Skip Beat!", helping to propel them into the public eye before their debut. On May 15th, 2009 it was announced on the band's website that 大西克巳 would no longer perform as guitarist, only working as a music producer. yoko will be resuming activities as "矢沢洋子" in 2010.
