Artist
The Aklamate hails from Islington, London, and records everything at Sublime Recording Studios. Founded in 2007, The Aklamate is a combined effort of Charles "Chicky" Reeves and Edmund Squeeze, offering a dark, sometimes moody and aggressive soundscape with odd pop-like structured songs. Since the release of the first album, Help Is On The Way, The Aklamate has been mainly doing remixing for artists like Grace Jones, Sam Sallon, Flykkiller, etc. Also, for the better part of 2008 and 2009, the Aklamate was on tour around the world with Grace Jones, mixing shows and causing general mayhem. The end of 2009 saw the release of new material, starting with "Waterloo To Putney", a combination of single-shot sixteen minute video with scored music. The complete release, slated for March 2010, will be a DVD of video and music tentatively entitled "The City of London and Other Cycles". Also, the Aklamate's studio, Sublime Recording Studios, is constantly working in the development of new artists.
