There seem to be at least two different acts called The Sad. 1. a British bubblegum rock act of the 1970s 2. a dark ambient project from Japan (?) 1. Emerging from the ashes of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom-based band, Giorgio & Marco's Men (two singles in the late 1960s), The Sad was based around Giorgio and Marco Uccellini, with Terry Edwards on bass and Stuart Wildon on drums. They released a début single called 'It Ain't Easy', which caused a stir because it was about bisexual promiscuity and had the word 'pervert' in it, which was unacceptable for the BBC at the time. The song was re-released with amended lyrics and - bizarrely enough - covered by young football star, Kevin Keegan, with further lyrical changes.
