The Lürxx are an antispeciesist hard rock band with their roots on the streets of Hollywood, California. They describe their music as Nature Warrior Rock, blending guitar-based rock with rocking recorder solos (!), high energy drums, unusual vocals and relevant lyrics. The Lürxx are a nucleus of two artists, Xavi & Sabú, who have been together and making music together ever since they were 13 years old. They emigrated to Hollywood from London when they were 18 and hit the Sunset Strip with the Lürxx in 1996. They were illegal immigrants, living on the streets and emulating the rock'n'roll hardship their heroes had endured. They released their debut CD "Give it to the Sea" in 1997 and were part of the remnants of the Hollywood glam rock scene. In the year 2000, they felt they needed different input - as high school drop-outs, they went back to school and ended up studying Classics. Vocalist/guitarist Xavi then went on to study environmental sciences and is now working with a special focus on integrating the arts into the climate crisis discourse to enable people to connect on a more emotional level to nature. In 2020, now based in the UK, they got back together with original drummer Joe and are once again ready to take on the world! Heavily influenced by the music of the late 60s and early 70s, where rock music was at the forefront of societal change, they are determined to help drive the next wave of change necessary to save this planet! With unusual and relevant lyrics,
