The band Tena Novak was formed in early 2003 from the ashes of several important Croatian underground bands (Kukuriku Street, Zvonko i gradski ured za kulturu, Zuman Patme...) and has consolidated into Tena Novak (el. violin), Kresimir Pauk (bass), Mario Kovac (sound effects), Hrvoje Radnic (guitar), Hrvoje Niksic (keyboards, sampler), Igor Pauk (drums) and Marko Caklovic (visuals) in the last two years. During that period the band has performed many concerts across Croatia and The Balkans. The sounds produced by the band incorporates organic ambient psychedelia, strong metronomic, rhythms and deliberated use of strong slavic melodies. The sound is enriched by various eletronic interventions made live via a plethora of paraphernalia, intentionally abused in a non-musical way (theremin, airsynth, turntable, short wave radio, etc) and performances have been suported by visual errorists anal/digit.
