SynKoke plays the progjazz Shostakovich dreamed of playing. The band completes the utopian project of Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix, but the result carries imprints of the Norwegian culture that gave Motorpsycho its identity. SynKoke is potent, monumental, and ambitious. SynKoke released their second album The Ideologist in 2011. It was supposed to be a six track album, ending with Arvo Pärts Fratres. But Mr Pärt denied any use due to its extremity. The Ideologist is released on Kokeplate Records. SynKoke released their first album, «Hokjønn» (“Female”) in 2009. The setting of memorable sessions was Bryggen in Bergen, where an outstanding figure in Norwegian contemporary music, Kato Ådland, has produced a spectacular album.
