For fans of Siouxsie and the Banshees, Brand New, Circa Survive, and Nine Inch Nails. Sulane is JP Krein at his rawest, most emotional state. He’s often said that his performances on stage “aren’t performances, they’re more like watching me as I really am; no filters or reservations.” JP has been playing music since the age of 8, and began playing in bands and writing music at the age of 12. Punk was always a big interest, partially because the song writing was simplistic, but it built the foundations that he would start his journey on. He played his first show at a venue called The Underground, alongside his bandmates from Nora Dates (who borrowed members from local scramz icons Treehouse and Knowing We’ll Never Grow Up). He has since played shows with a handful of other local acts, and has worked on an immense amount of other projects and solo acts. JP started his solo career playing as an acoustic act called Her Luminaria in early 2013. He begun writing his first EP for this project shortly before deciding to part ways with Nora Dates, and started playing shows a few months later. He never fails to joke about how “I sound like a pre-pubescent Bob Dylan with cauterized vocal chords.” He released an EP, a full-length album, and a compilation album as Her Luminaria. In an effort to grow his writing skills and improve on his playing and vocal techniques, he dropped the moniker Her Luminaria and began writing a 32 song album under the name The Stars and Two (which is in ref
