sock jock is turning heads. Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, sock jock grew up with music in her blood. Some of Taylor's earliest memories include leaving Sunday church services to go play the old, out-of-tune piano in the choir room. From those precious moments, her journey as a songwriter began. Taylor began writing music constantly, and formed her first “band” when she was 8. At the same age, she began playing the keyboard for her church’s praise team—her first real experience playing with other musicians. This opportunity gave her the chance to be mentored by others, and her music abilities quickly began to blossom. As time progressed, Taylor picked up more instruments and wholly developed her deep love for music as it carried her through some of her darkest moments. When Taylor was 13, she went through a series of medical battles that left her bed-ridden and isolated from her friends and family. It was during these times that Taylor began releasing her first songs as a way to cope with the hardships of medical trauma. Taylor began by uploading her songs to SoundCloud before beginning to record cover videos on YouTube. Her music was received well by friends, and it encouraged her to keep writing. By the time Taylor entered into high school, she was a seasoned musician. She continued to write music in her free time; however, she explored various musical outlets within her community. During her freshman year of high school, she formed the band “nasagram.” Together
