With emotional bends and vibratos, combined with lightening speed fretwork, Sleepy Eddie James creates a unique powerful sound that blends musical styles from Stevie Ray Vaughan, Ronnie Earl, Albert King, John Lee Hooker, and the Fabulous Thunderbirds, combined with real life, often humorous lyrics in the vein of Little Charlie and the Nightcats and the Reverend Horton Heat. A long road of 20+ years has seen Sleepy Eddie James play guitar almost all over the world. It all began in the bars and clubs up and down the west coast of California. Long-time guitarist for one of southern California's top blues group the Boogiemen, since then Sleepy Eddie has played over 1000 gigs and open air shows in the US and Europea and recorded 4 CD's along the way.
