skab/t is a producer of electronic music who began his first experiments with synthesis in 1992 while at university in Bristol. Having no ability with a keyboard was a major hampering factor, so he left off music and got into computers. After moving to Tokyo, Japan in 2000, and with enough money to buy equipment and set up a small studio, he started making music again. Meeting like-minded artists in Tokyo was a great source of inspiration, and soon with the help of distruc, Orga and Legofriendly he was able to get gigs and start to bust out his blend of stumbling beats and processed cuts in venues, parks and street corners all around Tokyo. A collection of early tracks is now available from Freeta Records and is also here on LastFM. Recently he has been collaborating with Coppé on some pieces for her Mango & Sweetrice imprint.
