Silvering is... Jonathan Seeley | Vocals, Percussion Tyler McCormick | Guitars, Sequencer, Synthesizer Andrew Fuller Moehagen | Bass Guitar, Synthesizer, Vocals Seth Gile | Drums, Sequencer, Keys Combining an eclectic mix of post-hardcore and indie rock, hashing in acoustics, sequencers, and the occasional saxophone, Silvering have created for themselves a truly unqiue sound in an era that produces music as stale and overdone as this introduction. A surprisignly yet-unsigned band of dudes with a passion for quality music, Silvering have released two albums, Fall Into Place and La Vita Nuova. While Fall Into Place was a driving record of unrelenting indie rock and roll, La Vita Nuova was a giant step in the direction of progression. Recorded independently in a makeshift studio wholly without label support, Silvering set out to record a full album rather than a few hit tracks to toss on a CD of otherwise mediocre material. La Vita Nuova is essentially twelve tracks, but is in actuality 3 distinct pieces of music, each piece of distinct movement of its own. The first movement, "Fall Into Place," showcases a relatively similar sound to Silvering's earlier album of the same name, while the second and third show off their inherent talent for songwriting. Tracks within "Long Drive to New York" and "La Vita Nuova" are stark and aggressive while remaining docile and tenuous. Musical boundaries are shattered, and Silvering emerge as a poignant force.
