Born from the ashes of the new defunct New York based Ceiling project, shiner.clay began in a small room in a Goldsmiths College hall of residence in London in 1998 and has now transformed itself into the experimental techno project you hear today. Over the past few years, the project has been based in New York, Los Angeles, Auckland and Wellington and now back in London, using both the beauty and grime of this ancient city to create hard edged exprimental techno in the vein of Tresor, Kompakt and Perlon records.
