http://www.myspace.com/sewn.world SEWN is a Serbian rock band formed in 2009 in Novi Sad when long time band mates drummer Dushan Prentovic; and guitarist Marko Doric; continued working on their musical aspirations and after four years of constant jamming and rehearsals, bassist Aleksandar Apic; and later singer Branislav Reljin finally took up the necessary roles to complete the formation known today. This line-ups individual mentality and preferences resulted in a metaphorical band name, thus being "united, fastened with stitches" amongst themselves, as well as stitching their art and comprehension to the world. Their musical style has been acclaimed as an unconventional progressive hard riff energy burst, with sometimes satirical, sometimes direct, but elaborate and lavish lyrical approach, dynamic, robust and harmonious vocal expression, while blending many other influential genres in disguise, spreading from funk, electronica and trip hop to traditional beats and rhythm. Without any means of playing coy, SEWN is also notable of using a variety of instruments like the berimbau, violin, cello and percussion instruments indicating their accented experimental flavor. Currently the band is working on their first studio album "Safety First", already exceeding the domestic expectations of an alternative Serbian music, gaining reputation that it deserves to be treated with global standards with it's genre defying, modern, cerebral, refreshing and undefinable sound.
