Former member of the Boston based punk rock band, The Bruisers, Reverend Todd Seely will be releasing an EP February 2011. Growing up in a family of musicians in New Hampshire, it didn’t take long for Americana singer/songwriter Reverend Todd Seely to realize what his calling was. Self taught on the guitar at the age of seventeen, Todd has branched his musical talents into many genres showcasing his natural abilities in bluegrass, gospel, rock and roll, metal, folk, and acoustic coffee house style music. Early in his musical career, Todd played with the seminal punk band The Bruisers on and off for seven years, including two records, American Night and Still Standing Up, and two tours of Europe, playing lead guitar. Later he moved to Portland, Oregon and played in the much-admired rockabilly punk band Iceberg Slim, playing with a lot of great punk and rockabilly bands like the Jackals, Apt. 3g, Weaklings, Spyderbabies, and Resonators. He also did a stint with another hillbilly punk band in the Pacific Northwest called Elmer. Living nomadically and traveling around the U.S. for quite some time, Todd spent time in Michigan, Colorado, Kentucky, Louisiana and Texas, playing music along the way and honing his craft. Back in NH in 2003, he started the rock ‘n roll band Last Drag, playing around New England for about a year.
