Rekalix is Andrew Lintern, ambient electronica composer/producer from Southampton, UK, and has been creating ambient music, and performing it live since the age of 18. His creations fuse atmospheric soundscapes with delicately manipulated sounds, to create minimal, melodic sculptures of ambience on a backdrop of relaxed rhythm. Rekalix is best known for his 2007 album release 'Frozen Planet' which was released on White Label Music in August of 2007. Following its release, 'Frozen Planet' went on to receive a number of very promising and highly impressive reviews, mostly from ambient and soundscape related zines and website. Rekalix is also associated with Estonian-based Kuurort Records, with whom he had his debut release ('Zykancialuu'), and then later joined in the running of the label.
