The harmony style 'Ramblers Dance Band' (Ghana 1962 - 1982) was the Ghanaian dance band led by the saxophonist and arranger Jerry Hansen, who emigrated to New York in the 1980s. Notable vocalists included Charles Kodjo who emigrated to London and joined Hi-Life International. The band reformed in 1990, as The Ramblers Dance Band, under the leadership of Jerry Hansen JR, releasing a comeback-collection, Giants Of Dance Band Highlife, for USA label Original Music in 1991.
