Phyllis was an American nu metal band from Orange County, California that formed in 1998. The group's lineup consisted of : ARRES 1 (Ryan Smith)- lyrical content / P-Dub (Paul Wizikowski) - low end / T Rok (Todd Smith)- vinyl damage / Hatter (Steve Robison)- high end / Dank-1 (Jason Salvador)- beats. After performing alongside bands such as Papa Roach and Alien Ant Farm, they released their debut record "Smoovy" through Rottie Entertainment in 2000. The record's funk-influenced nu metal/rap-rock sound garnered comparisons to acts such as Limp Bizkit, (Hed) Planet Earth, old school Incubus and 311 at the time.
