Oskar Ohlson is quite a phenomenon. Being mainly a drummer, you find his work orchestrated by a collection of homerecorded organs, flutes, bells, violins and various modified sounds, yet seeming familiar in their origin but impossible to retrace. Being mainly a drummer, Oskar more or less modestly defines his songs as being "beats". If these songs are beats, then hell - they're doubtlessly his sui generis trademark of an indefinably kind. Creating compositions which are capable of standing on their own, are nevertheless enriched by vocal artists from various genres. Due to his open-mindedness and eager interest in musical history and styles, the phenomenon "Oskar" is applied in quite a few projects. Having played everything from Grindcore to Hiphop, he now drums for The Latah Movement, The Droll Academy, aswell as being a (more-or-less) member of fnessnej.
