Opion Somium (2001-2005) was an orchestral project created by Brandon Bethancourt (now Alaska in Winter) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It's rotating roster included many musicians from New Mexico including Zach Condon (Beirut) and Heather Trost (A Hawk and a Hacksaw). The project put out various hand made limited edition CD-R's, a hand numbered/ printed 7" vinyl (Drone Records Germany), a limited 12" vinyl, and one semi-commercially produced CD, all of which were recorded in Bethancourt's bedroom.
