about

onlinefriends (formatted as one word, all lowercase) is a band that was formed in 2019 in Minnesota by frontman Kayne Jacques. Since then, their lineup has changed many times and has gained members all across the United States, making them a cross-country band. Sometimes onlinefriends is 1 person, sometimes 2, sometimes 3, sometimes 4, sometimes 5. Sometimes they laugh, sometimes they cry. Their sound is primarily rooted in emo and pop punk, but they also dabble in electronics, post-hardcore, post rock, cybergrind, and rap. So far, they've released three EPS, two splits, demos of their first album, a b-sides compilation, two live albums, and a handful of singles. What lies in the future for onfo, we'll just have to see. They've been signed to Messenger Bag Records since 2021 and have been loving every second of it.
