about

Objeto Amarelo, or Yellow Object, is a project by Brazilian solo artist Carlos Issa. The first album, OA, was recorded in his house in just three days in 1999 and released by the Argentine label, 72records. The second album, PanzerTunel involved instremental music and sound interventions, it was also the most complete album, with 38 songs demonstrating all the influences and characteristics of the band. It was recorded over the course of two years on a portable tape recorder. Objecto Amarelo's music is indescribably and fascinating. It blends diverse musical styles and forms, envoking influences which span from Erik Satie to The Fall, from Modern Lovers to Arnaldo Baptista, from Bossa Nova to Electroic music, to New wave. Involving sound collage, noise and melody, samples and loops. Live, however, Objecto Amarelo plays as a classic Trio with guitar, bass and drums.
