A podcast to discuss all things feminist, from gender politics to pop culture. Hosts Amanda Marcotte (http://pandagon.net/) and Samhita Mukhopadhyay (http://feministing.com/) comb over the news and spend one hour a week dissecting items that aren’t getting the mainstream media coverage they deserve. When the mainstream media isn’t ignoring important stories about gender issues, they’re providing piss-poor coverage. We can’t fix that problem, but we can aim some sarcasm in its general direction while informing the self-selected smarty-pants Citizen Radio crew. The show will feature news, digressions about music nerding, and interviews with some of the coolest and sharpest feminist minds of our digital age. You won’t be hearing a mealy-mouthed debate about whether or not Sarah Palin is a “feminist” on this show.
