Electronic Rock musician My Position releases his debut single ‘Deluded’. Based out of South Florida, My Position aka Joe Marks has grown up with musicianship around him his entire life. His parents, grandparents and four brothers are all musicians. His long-time desire to work on electronic rock music along with the guidance of his friend, Shayley Bourget of Dayshell, led to the creation of his latest venture, My Position. Highly influenced by the sounds of two of his favorite artists, Dayshell and Celldweller, the musical direction of his first project is akin to nu-metal with a modern low-toned twist, flavored with electronic elements. The lyrics draw from the human condition allowing listeners to relate to topics or thoughts they may be going through themselves. Before he became My Position, he and his brothers formed a band called Free Refills when they were just finishing high school. He worked on covers for many years and eventually started to collaborate with groups online. Most recently, he has worked as a vocalist with Polar Night, and teamed up with a friend, Christian Sandoval, to create electronic music under the artist name Lucent Veil. In the midst of those two projects, he was approached by Posthouse Tuomi (a symphonic metal band) to record vocals for a few of their tracks.
