mr.phylzzz is a Chicago-based, noise-rock duo featuring Clinton Jacobs (guitar/vox) and Danny Sein (drums). The band was originally formed in Cincinnati in 2015 as a joke between Clinton Jacobs and Ray Redmond, former members of The Killtones. Ray eventually parted ways with the project, and Dan Patch took on the role as drummer. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Dan Patch left the project, and Jacobs moved to Chicago. In 2022, Jacobs reconnected with Danny Sein, and invited him to join the project. In 2019 they were picked up by Amphetamine Reptile Records (AmRep), released their debut album “Penitent Curtis”, and were featured in the “Dope Guns ‘N Fucking in the Streets” Vol 14 comp. In 2022 they released their followup album, “Cancel Culture Club”, and in 2023 they released their third album, “Fat Chance”.
