Esteban Fernández (born July 11, 2004) best known as Apaltado (Spanish for Beaten) also known as Mi Memoria Tomando Forma (Spanish for My Memory Taking Shape) is a Chilean musician and singer. Fernández first started making music under his Apaltado name at the age of 17, debuting with his self-titled album, which was released on June 16, 2022. Fernández stopped making new music under the name of Apaltado after the release of "Repetición como Forma de Expresar Desesperación" in 2023 and began releasing music under the name of Mi Memoria Tomando Forma writing only in Spanish before he announced the ending of performing under his Mi Memoria Tomando Forma name after the release of the album "Almeja de plata, abierta" on December 16, 2025. According to Fernández his relationship with music was always confusing. He explained that Mi Memoria Tomando Forma never had a purpose other than starting from the bloated discography Apaltado had. He said that it was all about exploring his identity through writing his lyrics and choosing sounds for his songs.
