The 5-piece rock band Melody Marshals from Stavanger, Norway, has been around in the local music scene for several years, but 2007 was the year when they finally released their debut album. "Songs From A Tin Laboratory" was in the shops October 15. Their sound is dark and melancholic, but at the same time highly melodic. When I listen to their songs, I'm reminded of bands like Muse, Mew and Placebo or more well known Norwegian bands like the Seigmen or Delaware.
