'Second Nature’ is the third collaboration between husband and wife team Mazi and Lori Namvar. The first effort was released on Brique Rouge Traxx and the second is to be released on the new US imprint Magnified Recordings. The songs are a representation of the synergy between Lori’s tech-edged sensibilities and Mazi’s house leanings. Mood and rhythm abound throughout this precise production. 'Reminders & Warnings' slowly twists into a rich sonic and body moving experience evoking the primitive acidic sexuality of old Power Music Trax. On the flipside the insistent below-the-belt bump of 'Divergence' mates with harmonic abstraction to form an intense and emotive floor-filling workout. Second Nature rounds out with 'Release' a down-tempo track obviously inspired by Mazi and Lori’s non-musical endeavors.
