The so called and 'unwanted' father of the slovak alternative electronic music (or maybe the whole electronic scene in Slovakia). The son of one of the most respected slovak composers - Ladislav Burlas. Not only does he work with contemporary orchestras and creates modern pieces of music (also operas), but he mainly focuses on the alternative electronic 'click n cut' music made mostly on the home computer (preferably apple machines, which he uses in his other works, like the above mentioned operas). (* 23. 10. 1955 Bratislava) 1971 – 1975 In parallel to his secondary school studies he was taking private piano lessons from Mária Masariková and composition lessons from Juraj Hatrík 1975 – 1980 studied composition with Ján Cikker at the Academy of Music and Drama in Bratislava 1980 – 1986 worked as music director in the OPUS Publishing House 1986 founded the ensemble “Matthews”, later renamed “Maťkovia” 1986 – 1999 worked in SONICCA 1987 – 1994 worked as music director in Slovak Radio in Bratislava and was equally active as member of ensembles “Veni Ensemble”, “Sleepy Motion” and “Vitebsk Broken” 1990 co-founded an alternative music band Bezmocná hŕstka (Bezmocna hrstka) together with Maroš Hečko, Igy Kuhn, Roman Harvan, Martin Burlas and Roman Gál. 1999 co-founded, together with Ľubo Burgr, Zuzana Piussi and Daniel Salontay, the band Dogma 2000 has been employed in the Music Centre in Bratislava 2000 together with Ľubo Burgr is the founder of the Association for Contemporary
