Artist
mandala eyes is the experimental music project of Alex Alexander. Their music is almost entirely instrumental and shows clear influences from post-rock, progressive rock, and experimental music, yet refuses to be pinned down to any single one of these genres. Electric guitars with effects pedals are prominent in mandala eyes' music, and they often perform concerts with only their own guitar, pedals, and a looper/sampler. (toe, The Samuel Jackson Five, Lymbyc Systym, and The Books / Zammuto have all been cited by mandala eyes as some of their biggest direct inspirations. All of mandala eyes' music is self-recorded in their home, wherever it is---they've lived and made music in south and central Florida, the northern desert-mountains of New Mexico, and (currently) an island off the coast of Maine. These albums have all been self-released using Bandcamp under the pseudo-label moon hue music. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
