Lucid Daydreams, aka J. Allison, is a multi-instrumental, music producer from Austin, TX. lucidDAYdreams is an array of low-fi, nostalgic frequencies comprised of melodic buildups, guided by piano and other stringed instruments and orchestrated to pull on the heart strings of the listener. Multi-instrumentalist from Austin, TX, Joshua Allison, began LucidDAYdreams in 2020. His debut album In the Sunset of Life… is an album built on self-reflection and plays on such nostalgic emotions. Following various singles and EPs, including Cosmic Nostalgia EP, his second LP Lucid Daydreams released in June 2022, quickly followed by Away from the World in August, and two new EPs, Primordial Shadows and Systemic Cybernetic, that focus on the darker aspects of the human condition with minor tones and heavy guitar-driven riffs. Joshua has since worked with other artists and is currently working on another full-length LP. From Joshua’s own words, “Music can alleviate emotional pain and reactivate neurons in the brain, thus helping one remember. With this, music changes people for the better while, at the same time, bringing them together.
