Luca Correnti was born and raised in Catania, a city on the east coast of Sicily which has always been, both historically and in modern times, a melting-pot of eclectic musical tendencies and traditions. In 1994, Luca joined the dark metal band “Sinoath”. In October 1995 the band recorded the album “Research” which was highly appraised throughout the world of underground music. In 1998 Luca met Riccardo Samperi, a Catanese sound engineer and producer, who encouraged him to explore his creative capabilities also as a singer. The result was Luca’s first cd as a songster, called quite simply “promo 1999”. THis work was also well received. In 2002 he founded the group “Kerigma” and produced a second demo-cd with six tracks which gained him a place in the Tim Tour and Telethon shows. By this time Luca’s songs were starting to show a well-defined melodic rock personality and structure. In the summer of 2002 he produced another mini-cd, this time completely unplugged. One of his new tracks “Fragile” was later to find its way onto the 2003 demo of his group “Kerigma”. THis was followed by a period of intense activity as guitarist with the noise-alternative band “Ikara” with whom he participated in the Tim Tour (again) and Bologna Music Festival. The year 2005 was the year of the artistic turnaround, the complete change in sound and approach to composition.
